At the end of “Son in Law” (1993) everyone poses for a photo while Pauly Shore shouts, “Say cheesy! That’s pretty much all you need to know. Cheesy. It takes place on a farm in South Dakota, but should have been filmed in Wisconsin. Pauly does his California weirdo schtick while everyone else plays their cliche small town roles, with an assist from the conniving high school d-bag who is in every movie with a teen plot element. But let’s face it, I don’t think anybody was pretending this was “Macbeth.” And cheese is good for you now and then.
