“Team America: World Police” is a terrible movie. Terrible in the same way your mom used to say “that’s terrible!” when your teenage brother would tell an off-color joke in front of her, even though you knew deep down she probably thought it was funny, too. This 2004 puppet film is an off-color kaleidoscope. It’s either brilliant or vulgar. Let’s call it brilliantly vulgar. The easily offended and politically hypersensitive won’t like it. It wields satire like a bludgeon as a group of American mercenaries battle terrorists. If you find hard-core puppet sex inappropriate, you especially may want to pass.
