I’m writing a novel. Sometimes I worry that my novel sucks. Sometimes I watch a movie to take my mind off things. Tonight I watched “Blitz” (2011) with Jason Statham. Statham is his usual, strangely haunting, ass-kicking self. He’s a violent sociopath cop who teams with a homosexual sociopath cop to catch a vengeful sociopath cop-killer. The sentence I just wrote is 10 times more complex than anything in this movie. Basically, it sucked (the movie, not my sentence). During the credits, I saw that “Blitz” was based on a novel. So maybe there is hope for me after all.
