There is pretty much nobody you ever heard of in “Positive I.D.” Very indy. Seriously, everyone in this movie was in like only one other movie in their whole careers. It’s almost like watching a reality show. It’s a plausibility-stretching film noir where a crime victim starts off catatonic and ends up catastrophic, devising a highly detailed revenge plot. Couple of twists and turns. A morally ambivalent ending that would do absolutely terrible with a focus group (if they allowed focus groups to write movie scripts back in 1986). It’s good, but good luck finding it (17 copies at Amazon.com).
